The Sniper Rifle is a Beard unlockable long-range weapon included in Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number where it is unlocked upon beating Stronghold.
Statistics[]
The Sniper Rifle is the most accurate, and powerful weapon in the game as it can instantly kill Thugs. It also has a ten round magazine, however the Sniper Rifle has the lowest held-down fire rate of all firearms available in the game (unless you click right after the first click of Beard pulling the bolt you can shoot again making this as fast as the shotgun's firing speed) The Sniper Rifle also increases viewing range in a similar manner to the George Mask. The Sniper Rifle is unsurprisingly a very situational weapon, and it's best used in the opening "floors" of Stronghold and Casualties, otherwise the M16, Shotgun, Heavy Machine Gun and Flamethrower are far more useful alternatives.

Trivia[]
- The only appearance of the Sniper Rifle in Hotline Miami, is near the end of Crackdown, where a possible sniper located across the road (presumably); the "Sniper" is marked with a red beam (A Laser sight) and will instantly kill the player if they are caught in the field of the beam.
- According to the game information tab in the leaked Decadence build, the Älgstudsare (or Moose bouncer in Swedish; refering to a high-caliber Hunting Rifle) was a weapon considered; it was likely dropped due to both the fast-paced nature of the game, and not fitting the aesthetics of the setting.
- According to Jonatan, the Sniper Rifle was also supposed to be featured in Super Carnage; it was likely added after the original 2006 build released as it cannot be used or found within that build's files.
- The Sniper Rifle appears to combine elements of both the Blaser R93 Tactical (silhouette, stock, scope) and the Accuracy International Arctic Warfare (green colour, bolt-system, pistol grip, stock, scope mount)
- The Blaser R93 as a basis for the Sniper Rifle is anachronistic, as it was not introduced until 1993; some eight years after the events of Casualties (set in 1985) and two years after the events depicted in Apocalypse and Death Wish (set in 1991)
- The Arctic Warfare was also one of the service sniper rifles for the Swedish Military; Sweden being the home of Dennaton Games.
- The Sniper Rifle is the first (and only) Bolt Action weapon in the Series.
- It is also the second manual-action firearm in the series; after the Shotgun.
- The Sniper Rifle is also the first weapon to include the ability to increase the player's viewing range.
