The Shard Blade is a weapon featured in Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number. It is a shiv fashioned out of a piece of broken glass.

The Shard Blade is a weapon found only in Release, being found on the hands of Prisoners. It is very similar to the Knife, recycling many of its animations, although unlike the Knife, the Shard Blade is a very fragile weapon, as it breaks once it is thrown away or if a Door passes over it, and it cannot kill enemies if you throw it at them. This weapon is required for the A BOX FULL OF SHARP OBJECTS achievement.

• The Shard Blade is one of the most fragile weapons in the Hotline Miami series, as it will break if discarded of in any way.
• This weapon would likely be very impractical to use in real life, as the ingame sprite does not show anything to protect the wielders hand from the sharp glass, which would likely cut the user as they're stabbing.
