The fireaxe is a weapon, that appears in both Hotline Miami and Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number. In the first game, it is an unlockable melee weapon that can spawn randomly in several levels. It is used for the achievement Smell Something Burning on the second floor of the level Clean Hit, where it's located in a glass case in that floor's long hallway.
In Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, the fireaxe is much rarer as it only appears in the second floor of Demolition, to assist in the player throwing a weapon to knock down a Russian mobster wielding a silenced pistol, additionally the axe can destroy thin walls as well. The axe also appears in the final section of Apocalypse, where it is hallucinated by The Son to be the weapon he killed Alex and Ash with while he was extremely high on a potent hallucinogenic drug. In reality, The Son shot and killed Alex and Ash with a magnum, before walking off the building and falling to his death.

- The fireaxe is the last weapon that is used by the player in the Hotline Miami series.
- The fireaxe can destroy certain walls on Demolition.
- The thug that can be killed with the fireaxe in the second floor bathroom at the end of Clean Hit is the only thug in the first Hotline Miami that can be killed with a melee weapon.
