Overview[]
The Chainlink is a weapon seen in Hotline Miami and Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number. It is a chainlock; an improvised weapon consisting of a chain attached to a large lock.
Hotline Miami[]
In Hotline Miami, the Chainlink is seen as an unusable weapon that appears in the epilogue of Tension. It is seen being wielded by a Mobster, threateningly swinging it around as he and two other Mobsters surround a man wearing a Dennis Mask.
After speaking to Beard in his store, the Mobsters disappear and the man is shown dead. This is the only ever time where the Chainlink appears in the first game.
Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number[]
In Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, it is a common weapon exclusively used by the Gang enemies. It is one of the slower weapons in the game, having a swing rate similar to the Baseball Bat. This weapon is required for the A BOX FULL OF SHARP OBJECTS achievement.
